The "Geek" Factor

This 1959 photo tells a story that best describes Terry's high school days as a "nerd."

Terry was the president of the "Projectionist Club," a group of guys who liked to thread the film and show the educational films often used in instruction.

It began in the tiny town of Newark, Ohio in the 1940s.
WWII. Black and White. Radio.

In Summer of 2000, Mike went back to Ohio to re-live Terry's 1940s & 1950s past:

Start Here. Terry was born here in 1943. Newark, Ohio. Nice house but right next to the railroad tracks
Woodrow Wilson Elementary school, Newark. Classic school design of the era, Terry's school
Radio again, as Terry's mother had a weekly show on WCLT, circa 1949
The Hackneys moved to Cambridge, Ohio in the mid-50s, lived here
Cambridge neighborhood, the Duck Pond at the City Park
Terry began his DJ career on this stage, now the venue for Christian Music
